Our View

“On March 25 the University of Akron made a change to the tuition payment tiers. In the past, a full-time student would have 12-15 credit hours. The change that was made will allow students to add an extra credit to their hours for the same price. This means a full-time student will now have anywhere between 12-16 credit hours.”

This means a full-time student will now have anywhere between 12-16 credit hours.

It is about time this happened.

Most schools in the area already allow their students to take more than 15 credits for the same price.

The only problem with this is that one extra credit isn’t really going to help the average student that much.

It would have been better if it were 12-18, that way another three credit class could be added.

With the number only 16, the average student that takes five, three credit classes won’t really be able to use the extra credit, unless they take a one credit class.

The only people this will really help are students with one, two, four and even five credit hours.

So, overall, while this may not help all that much it is a sign that the university is moving in the right direction.
