Keeping up appearances

” The sun, the surf, the sand. The wonderful joys of spring break were plentiful for the lucky few that had a chance to get out of Ohio and head to warmer pastures. But, like always, the good times must come to an end, especially when there are a whole six weeks remaining in the semester, great news for those anxiously waiting summer’s arrival, bad news for those seeking to extend that beautiful Florida glow.”

But, like always, the good times must come to an end, especially when there are a whole six weeks remaining in the semester, great news for those anxiously waiting summer’s arrival, bad news for those seeking to extend that beautiful Florida glow.

There are a couple of ways to squeeze even a few extra days out of your bronzed skin.

Prolonging your skin cell turnover is key to keeping your tan. Tan extending products such as Sublime’s Glow lotions can help with this. Also, lotions with a substantial amount of DHA, an active agent in tanning, will help keep your glow rich and healthy.

Another option is to get a spray tan on top of your tan. Students have the choice of a booth, which is often a one size fits all option. Or having a hand contoured tan done by professionals Optima Sun Lab offers contoured tanning, for example makes your legs little more muscular than they really are. Optima Sun Lab encourages even using a tan prolonging product like those mentioned above to help keep your tan physique.

You should expect your spray tan to last about five to 10 days, depending on how quickly skins cells are turned over.

Spray tanning is a better alternative to tanning beds, which can cause skin cancer or premature skin aging. No matter how good of a tan it provides, it’s a chance that is just not worth the risk.

Spray-tanning offers a way to prolong that Florida glow, or at least fake that Florida glow enough that no one will know the difference.
Optima Sun Lab is the official spray tanner for the Cleveland Cavaliers girls. They offer a college student discount and various other promotions to make spray-tanning as affordable as possible. Students can expect to pay around $30 for a tan, but the price can be as low as $20. Contact Optima Sun Lab for details 216-916-7307.
