Student robbed near Spicer and Exchange Not injured, cell phone stolen in daylight

“A robbery occurred at 1:30 p.m. Monday near Spicer and East Exchange streets. The victim, a UA student, reported the robbery and assault to the University of Akron police. The victim said two men took her cell phone and then headed north. No weapons were seen.”

A robbery occurred at 1:30 p.m. Monday near Spicer and East Exchange streets. The victim, a UA student, reported the robbery and assault to the University of Akron police.
The victim said two men took her cell phone and then headed north. No weapons were seen. The victim was not physically harmed.
The UAPD are looking for two black males. Both men were described as slim and between 15 and 20 years old. Both were wearing black hoodies with the hoods pulled up partially covering their faces. They were also wearing black pants.
Police plan to increase patrols in that area around the clock.
The UAPD asks anyone with knowledge regarding this incident or any other unusual activity to call 330-972-2911.
