The 2011 LIFE Awards applications are online now and are open to all current students, faculty, and registered student organizations.
The LIFE Awards are held annually to honor members of The University of Akron community for their involvement, leadership, and achievements. Awards vary greatly in terms of eligibility, so almost any student or organization is eligible to apply for an award. Students can even nominate each other or a faculty member for some awards.

The LIFE Awards are held annually to honor members of The University of Akron community for their involvement, leadership, and achievements. Awards vary greatly in terms of eligibility, so almost any student or organization is eligible to apply for an award. Students can even nominate each other or a faculty member for some awards.
Award recipients can win statues, certificates or gifts depending on the awards given. The LIFE Awards can be a great way to obtain recognition and can make an impressive addition to any student’s resume or an organization’s list of honors.
All awards will be presented to the winners at the fifth annual LIFE Awards celebration on Thursday, April 14, 2010. This year’s LIFE Awards are also celebrating the third year of a going green effort, as all of the invitations are now electronic rather than printed paper. This year, all award applications are available solely online and will be submitted and judged electronically as well.
The awards and presentation are organized by Alpha Sigma Phi, Alumni Association, Associated Student Government, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Department of Student Life, Golden Key National Honor Society, Graduate Student Government, Office of Multicultural Development, Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost, Omicron Delta Kappa, Adult Focus, and The SOuRCe.
