Fear not. The Buchtelite has compiled a list of cool stuff to do to satisfy your thrill cravings.

Haunted Schoolhouse / Haunted Laboratory

1300 Triplett Blvd., Akron

$16/each for Schoolhouse and Laboratory; $26/both

7 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday; 7 – 10 p.m. Thursday and Sunday

7 – 10 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

This is an oldie but goodie. For these folks, Halloween is a major production, and you can tell. If you’ve never been, go. Go now.

The Factory of Terror

1036 Market Avenue S., Canton

$10/each for Haunted Halls of Hercules and Labyrinth of Darkness; $16/both

7 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, 7 – 10 p.m. Sunday

This is easily the best haunted house in the area in terms of fear. Be prepared for a frightful time that attacks all your senses. It is housed in an old machine plant that is rumored to be haunted.

Ramseyer Farm

3488 Akron Road, Wooster

$7.50

4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday – Friday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 1 – 5 p.m. Sunday

Ramseyer offers a more traditional Halloween adventure; an 8-acre maze. The price is right and time is proper.

Hudson Haunted House

2250 Barlow Road, Hudson

$10

7:30 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday

7: 30 – 10 p.m. Sunday – Wednesday

This haunted house has been in existence for more than three decades. If you go to www.hudsonjaycees.com, you can print out coupons.

Kent Halloween Festival

Downtown Kent

Saturday all night

Kent closes off Main and Water streets for this famous celebration. It’s best to go in costume, mostly so you can get rowdy without anyone knowing it’s you.

Cedar Point Halloweekend

One Cedar Point Drive, Sandusky

$42.95

6 p.m. to midnight Friday; noon to midnight Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday

This weekend is the last chance to go to Cedar Point. It is also the final Halloweekend, with haunted houses and walk-throughs to get your heart racing.

Boo at the Roo

E.J. Thomas Hall, Akron

The team at E.J. Thomas has a lot in store for Halloween night. Once the doors open at 9:09 p.m., students – who are admitted free – will be able to get tarot card readings, compete in a costume contest, listen to live music and eat and drink to their heart’s content. They will offer a cash bar for those over the age of 21. Contest prizes include an iPhone and airplane tickets for Spring Break.

Halloween Charity Ball

Highland Theatre

826 W. Market Street, Akron

This may just be the best bet for the weekend. Pre-sale tickets are $30 through the law school, Revival or Square Records; tickets purchased at the door run $35. Don’t sweat the cost, however, as it covers all food and drink, including … alcohol. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and the Street Law Program. The doors open at 9 p.m.
