Student fights free of attacker

“A female student went to her car Saturday parked in the North Campus Parking Deck to retrieve something from it when she discovered she wasn’t alone. According to the University of Akron police report, a man grabbed the woman and groped her. A Special Edition Zipmail was sent out Tuesday by to inform students of the incident.”

A female student went to her car Saturday parked in the North Campus Parking Deck to retrieve something from it when she discovered she wasn’t alone.

According to the University of Akron police report, a man grabbed the woman and groped her.

A Special Edition Zipmail was sent out Tuesday by to inform students of the incident.

The Zipmail described the suspect as a white male wearing a black ski mask and blue sweatshirt with yellow letters that read Akron.

According to the Zipmail, the student was able to defend herself using her car keys and managed to get in her car and drive away.

She did not report the incident to police until approximately 7 p.m. Monday.

The student said, she did not want to talk about the incident.
