Ms. DoRight

“Ms. DoRight, I am the chick from last week’s question, so now I have a few questions. First off, I thought the guy I met at the bar understood that we were having a one-night stand. It wasn’t the smartest thing to do, but we did it – bumped uglies – as you called it.”

Ms. DoRight,

I am the chick from last week’s question, so now I have a few questions.

First off, I thought the guy I met at the bar understood that we were having a one-night stand. It wasn’t the smartest thing to do, but we did it – bumped uglies – as you called it.

Do men automatically think that all women are emotional creatures? I don’t want to be his friend, and I figured that if we saw each other on campus, we would just blush and turn our heads. I mean, I don’t even remember his name.

Am I being a bitch? My friends say that having a one-night stand makes me kind of a slut, but then isn’t the guy a slut also?

Signed,

The chick

Chick,

I am going to make a bold and forthright statement. Your behavior could easily be construed as bitchy. Furthermore, your one-night stand might make it easy for someone to call you a slut.

However, there are a few things you need to remember about all men. I don’t know all these things offhand, so I consulted a male friend. As far as I know, he’s an authority on all men.

First, most men think every woman on the planet is emotional. If she’s being emotional, it’s either because she’s on her period or because she needs to have a one-night stand type of adventure.

Second, if a woman does have a bedtime rendezvous, most men think that means she’s a slut. A man will think this even if he was an active participant in the adventure.

Third, if men don’t think you are a slut and if they never lambast you for being emotional, it only means one thing. He thinks you’re a bitch. Pretty much, nothing will save you.

That’s a man’s world in a nutshell. No one will blame you for not wanting to be friends with a person like this.

If you really want to get the message across, tell him you faked it.
