Faculty pianist delights crowd

Faculty pianist Megan Denman performed Saturday evening at The University of Akron.

The performance took place at Guzzetta Recital Hall on Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m. as Denman showcased her playing ability.

Denman interacted with the crowd at various points in the show. She addressed the crowd at an intermission and told backstories of some of the classical compositions she played.

Denman performed piano classics by famous composers such as Debussy, Mozart and Beethoven.

The performance was free and open to the public. Upcoming performances at The University of Akron’s School of Music include guest bassoonist Linda Morton Fisher on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 8:00 p.m. and a new faculty recital on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 8:00 p.m.
