Residence of the Thornton home however, said they were surprised when uninvited visitors dropped by.

When a group of friends got together on Thursday night, the last thing they expected was to get robbed in their own home the following morning.

One of the victims said they had about a dozen people over that night to hang out and talk when two men walked right into the house.

Someone, I guess, went out to smoke a cigarette and left it unlocked, one victim said.

Another victim described the scene, saying the men just walked right in to the kitchen and asked people for their money.

All of a sudden, two guys came in with guns, they said. One had a mask on and they were in all black. They were smiling and like ‘what’s up guys’.

From there, the two robbers proceeded to move into the living room and began asking for their wallets.

Both victims first thought that the robbers were a joke someone was playing.

At first, I didn’t even think it was real, the first victim said. It was like it was a joke or something. The guy came in smiling and we thought it was someone’s friends or something.

The first victim said it took a while to finally grasp the situation and what actually was going on. That moment came when the robbers started physically taking the money.

He reached into my roommate’s pocket of his jeans and took out his wallet and then took out his money, the first victim said. When I walked into the kitchen, I saw the second male and he had a black mask on his face and he was standing there with a gun.

The first thing the victim did was run upstairs and throw their wallet behind a door and call 911. The robbers approached and stopped the victim on his way back down to the others.

When I came back downstairs, the one put the gun to my chest and asked me to empty out my pockets, the vicitm explained.

The victims followed their orders and emptied out their pockets onto the table. The two men then proceeded to leave the house. One victim, however, continued to chase the robbers.

I only got to our neighbor’s backyard and they saw me. They told me not to move or they were going to shoot me, the victim said.

The men then shot a bullet off and the victim then proceeded back to the house.

The men allegedly got away with about $280, according to the police report.

The Akron Police are still looking for the suspects in both robberies.
