The university has already begun construction on the new football stadium, even though it has not acquired all of the land needed yet.

Even without this land, and with many small businesses upset over having to leave, it is still a good move by the university.

Prospective students and athletes will see the new stadium as a bright spot of the campus. And it could be one of the main reasons some of the future students and athletes decide to come to UA.

Much of the campus area that is being torn down to make room for the football field was old and ugly. More importantly, with the modern improvements the campus has made the old buildings just don’t fit in anymore.

Not only will the football field make the campus look a lot better, but the small businesses that are being forced to move will profit, too.

As long as the businesses that are moving out remain near the UA campus, they can still benefit from the stadium.

The attendance to football games is going to skyrocket due to the new stadium. Students, alumni and fans will go downtown and around the surrounding areas prior to games to party.

The stadium’s location is going to make that area of campus one of the most modern stretches of land in the nation with the new recreation center and field house right next to it.

For prospective athletes especially, the up-to-date technology and facilities will be a main reason they decide to come here.

It’s too bad that the businesses have to leave, but it’s what is best for UA.
