Stevo's Ego

“Before I begin, I would like to take a brief moment to discuss my headshot. First off, no. I am not in Flock of Seagulls. Over a dozen pictures taken, and this is the best they could come up with? Before I begin, I would like to take a brief moment to discuss my headshot.

First off, no.

I am not in Flock of Seagulls.

Over a dozen pictures taken, and this is the best they could come up with?

Don King would be appalled!

It comes as no surprise that with the given weather conditions, certain elements can ruin your clothes, or even worse, jeopardize your health.

So for all you ladies, who are worried about ruining your boots, and the bros worried their gauged earrings will give them frostbite, fear no more!

I have a solution: stop wearing them.

It’s winter, for Zippie’s sake!

I can’t even count on both hands how many women I see walking around campus wearing skirts that just barely come below their puffy jackets.

And likewise, I see the men have nothing to cover their heads with, except the hoods from their American Eagle sweaters.
When the weather is this cold, you don’t play beer pong outside, do you?

The point I am getting at is this: be sensible before being cool.

In my most recent escapades through downtown Akron, I must say that I’ve discovered some pretty nifty places.

Musica is one of them. Big stage for bands, big bar for drinks, and an easily accessible patio for smokers (who although may be killing themselves with each other’s second hand smoke, still dress for the occasion).

I still don’t know what to think about Barley House.

On one hand, I felt like I was sitting in a garage.
I first got that impression when I saw the garage doors.

On the other hand, they make a kickass pizza!
They also let me down when I sadly discovered they weren’t showing the Pay Per View M-1 fight.

Is UFC the only division of MMA that people care about?

There are multiple leagues in the world of MMA, most of which are way better than UFC.

How it has become the most important one is beyond me.

Speaking of upcoming events, I keep seeing previews for yet another Underworld movie. Why?
Didn’t the recent release of Twilight finally prove that sometimes vampires aren’t that cool?

Then again, maybe what Twilight was missing were werewolves.

Hey, wait a minute!

The Munsters raised a werewolf for a son and sheltered their Nosferatu grandfather and they got along just fine.

Now I’m confused.

A lot of graphic novels have been converted into movies lately, which I think is wonderful.

Watching a movie based on a graphic novel doesn’t make you feel as geeky as the kid you see reading the novel (me).

Just remember this: I will know who the next Dark Knight villains are before you do. Hah!
