The road to graduation is scary enough as it is, but once you’ve conquered higher education there’s no telling where you may end up.

You’re practically starting from scratch, and after years of waiting just to claim your spot at the top of the latter as a senior, you’re back at the bottom.

Is that really what college results in-

starting at the bottom only to wind up ending at the bottom?

Not many of us know where to go after school, but students at the University of Akron should know that we don’t need to go alone.

The Center for Career Management, or CCM, is here to assist students with just those things.

It’s not quite likely that many students have worked in places that require resumes and cover letters prior to college.

One of the CCM’s major functions is to show students what those things are, how they should go about creating them and how to update them so that they are up to par.

They’re even having a workshop Sept. 17 titled Resumes and Cover Letters: Will Yours get the Interview?

No matter what field of work you plan on ending up in, a good resume is going to be crucial.

It is, after all, the first thing an employer sees, creating their first, and depending on the resume, their last, impression.

The more professional your resume is, the better your chances are of landing your dream job.

It certainly won’t hurt.
