LinkedIn is a business-oriented social networking site that is mainly used for professional networking.   LinkedIn operates the world’s largest professional network on the Internet, with more than 90 million members in over 200 countries and territories.

Multiple studies confirm that the number one way to land a job offer is through networking, so setting up an account on a professional networking site is only going to increase the likelihood that you make the right connection with the right people at the right time.

To learn more about LinkedIn, visit the online site at www.LinkedIn.com. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to exchange information, share ideas and explore job opportunities with a wide range of professionals.

The Career Center will be hosting a seminar on this topic on Thursday from 4-5 p.m. in the Student Union, Room 308.  The Career Center provides career development and job search assistance to all UA students.  Stop by Simmons 301 or visit our website at www.uakron.edu/career.
