Several months ago, Ontario's Alcohol and Gaming Commission (AGC) approved the sale of marijuana for medical purposes. More than two thousand applications were received. By June 20, there would be more than one thousand dispensaries operating in the province. Of those, 500 would be located in the GTA alone. The owners of these stores were largely typical corporate suits who saw cannabis as an additional revenue source. Now, they want to cash in on this new trend.
