The Buchtelite

  • BREAKING NEWS: UA Receives Largest Gift in School History

The Buchtelite is a self-supporting student organization. It does not receive money from the university, though the university provides rent-free office space in the Student Union. The Buchtelite pays for the use of phones and a copier/printer/fax machine. It buys its own office supplies and equipment, from paperclips to computers.

Unlike other student organizations, The Buchtelite also operates as a business. It relies on revenue from advertising sales to cover its costs, which also include printing the newspaper, hosting the website and paying students who work as editors, sales representatives, office assistants and distribution agents.

If your business would like to connect with a student population of about 25,000, our advertising options can help you achieve that.

If you are a business person or an individual who is replacing computers, digital cameras or digital voice recorders and would like to donate your used but not obsolete equipment to The Buchtelite, please contact the adviser at 330-972-5475. We can accept only Macintosh computers, but any brand of digital camera or voice recorder is fine.
