In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the American Cancer Society hosted its 16th annual Making Strides against Breast Cancer walk on Sunday, Oct. 18.

“I Need More Time! Thanks!” written by Yulia Gray and directed by Caorl Eustey, begins with a woman who finds a lump in her breast.
From that point on, the audience is taken on a journey with her from the time she discovers the abnormality to the decision that so many woman face. Will I call the doctor? Should I call the doctor? What is the next step? Do I really want to know what this is or is it easier to ignore it?
“A lot of people are afraid of knowing,” Eustey said. “But knowing is the first step to survival.”
Social media is being used for social advancement at The University of Akron’s Barnes and Noble bookstore. A recent email was sent out to all UA students asking them to utilize Facebook for a good cause. For every student who changes his or her profile picture to a pink ribbon and becomes a fan of the Barnes & Noble College page, Barnes & Noble College will donate a dollar, with a maximum donation of $10,000, to the Youth Survival Coalition.
