“You know who I can’t stand? Peter Gammons. The guy is the biggest homer that works on the biggest homer station I have ever seen. The station I’m referring to is ESPN or should I say NESPN because all they want to talk about is New England sports. Anyway, back to Peter Gammons.”

You know who I can’t stand? Peter Gammons.
The guy is the biggest homer that works on the biggest homer station I have ever seen.
The station I’m referring to is ESPN or should I say NESPN because all they want to talk about is New England sports.
Anyway, back to Peter Gammons.
The guy is a Hall of Famer and I respect him but he takes personal pleasure in ripping into my New York Yankees and when the Yankees succeed it really boils his blood.
I thought Gammons was going to cry and Steve Philips, ESPN baseball analyst and fellow Yankee basher, was going to have to console him when the Yankees topped his Boston Red Sox with a contract offer to Mark Teixeira this winter.
After the Yankees signed Teixeira, Gammons said that the Red Sox would be fine and Kevin Youkilis, Red Sox first baseman, would put up the same type of numbers as Teixeira would for the Yankees.
This was after Red Sox ownership targeted Teixeira all off-season so they could have a potent middle of the order Teixeira, Youkilis, and David Ortiz, Red Sox designated hitter.
But Gammons isn’t alone.
Oh no.
It’s the entire disgusting Red Sox Nation, another phrase coined by ESPN, that follows this mans opinion.
They have the nerve to say that they will be better off without Mark Teixeira and to wait until Lars Anderson is called up.
Anderson is blue chip prospect for the Red Sox but how can they sit there and compare him to an already proven Gold Glove, 30 home run, 100 plus RBI first baseman
But hey, just like Manny being Manny, Red Sox Nation will be Red Sox Nation.
While on the Manny Ramirez topic. The Red Sox weren’t able to control him.
He walked all over them and forced his way out of Boston.
The Red Sox won the World Series just two seasons ago and they were in full force to complain when the big bad Yankees went and improved this off-season to get their team to get back into the postseason.
What are you complaining about?
You have been World Champions two times this decade.
This is the same team that shelled out $51,000,000 just to speak to Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka.
The Yankees will also have a lower payroll in 2009 and a better ball club.
They had the money coming off the books, with players leaving, and they spent it.
They are playing by the same rules as any other team in Major League Baseball.
Leave it to Red Sox Nation to be the biggest crybabies in all of Major League Baseball.
