In the past few days, it seems like gun violence is really becoming prevalent in the news.

There was the pastor in St. Louis that was shot during the service he was giving, the gunman in Alabama that killed 10 people and then the school shooting in Germany.

The frequency of shootings show that stronger gun control is needed.

While the United States can’t control other countries’ gun laws, we can up our own.

New laws need to be made that restrict the ownership of guns.

The main law should require a psychological evaluation before anyone is allowed to purchase a gun.

There are far too many crazy people out there that are buying guns.

One may argue that perhaps, these people never actually bought the gun but instead took it from someone else.

That may be the case, but if the laws were stricter there would be fewer guns out there to take.

Sure, the second amendment allows people the right to bear arms, but honestly, that was signed in 1787. In this day and age, nobody needs to be walking around with a gun.

This only leads to problems.

Hopefully, someday politicians will realize this and instill stricter laws for gun ownership.
