Stadium contractors violate EPA

“Cleveland based Foti Contracting was found guilty of violating air pollution laws at the construction site of the University of Akron’s new football stadium. The company will pay the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency a $10,000 fine for failing to use appropriate measures to prevent or minimize dust emissions during masonry saw operations.”

The company will pay the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency a $10,000 fine for failing to use appropriate measures to prevent or minimize dust emissions during masonry saw operations.

Water or dust-suppression chemicals are to be used to control these dust emissions.

As part of the settlement, Foti Contracting agreed to use dust-control tools at other construction sites.
