Our View

“With the House of Representatives passing the Health Care bill late Sunday night, there are many mixed emotions. Most Democrats are ecstatic, but Rush Limbaugh threatened to leave the country if the bill passes, Glenn Beck claimed it is against God and common sense and an angry conservative blogger went so far as to call for Obama’s assassination.”

With the House of Representatives passing the Health Care bill late Sunday night, there are many mixed emotions.
Most Democrats are ecstatic, but Rush Limbaugh threatened to leave the country if the bill passes, Glenn Beck claimed it is against God and common sense and an angry conservative blogger went so far as to call for Obama’s assassination.
While the bill may be far from perfect, at least it is a step forward from what current health care options are in the country.
To be completely for something without question – or to be so against it – that you call for the assassination of the nation’s leader is ridiculous.
It would probably be best to weigh the options and look at the issue holistically rather than looking at the issue as red vs. blue. Perhaps it would be best to agree with George Washington and not have political parties.
So, while this health care bill is going to cost a lot of money, at least it might keep people from not going to the hospital simply from the fear of not being able to pay.
Rather than looking at this bill and judging it one way or doing something just because Glenn Beck said so, let’s step back and judge things wholly and for ourselves.
