RHPB Events

The Residence Hall Programming Board’s main goal is to bring superb and free entertainment to The University of Akron’s students.  From comedians to illusionists, the entertainers RHPB brings to campus are bound to entertain you.  Almost all of RHPB’s events take place at EJ Thomas Hall, a short walk on campus.  Make sure you are constantly checking your ZipMail for updates about their events.

Sporting Events

Whether it is soccer, football or volleyball, there will never be a weekend on campus without a home game.  Games are free to students, making them a great hangout for the weekend.  The rowdiness of the crowd is sure to get you jumping up and down along with them.  You can get even more involved in the games by joining the AK Rowdies.  By joining you will get priority seating, a free shirt, food, road trips and be amongst the most rowdy in the crowd.

Events at EJ Thomas Hall

If you like to watch musicals or be blown away by amazing musicians, then you should fill your social calendar with the events coming to EJ Thomas this season.  Being a University of Akron student, you can get discounted or free tickets to most shows that come to EJ Thomas.  Sign up for ZipTix at www.uaevents.com.  You will also find a link to the schedule of shows coming to EJ Thomas.  Getting dressed up and going to shows with friends creates a fun and different experience on the weekends.

Akron Art Museum

The serene calmness of the Akron Art Museum is a great place to go if you need a break from the fast paced college life.  As a student, the museum offers a discounted ticket of $5 when you show your ID.  Take a moment to yourself and go check out the amazing artwork displayed at the Akron Art Museum.

Cleveland Indians’ Game Trips

On Sunday, Sept. 22, ZPN will be taking a bus trip to see the Cleveland Indians play and is inviting all students to join.  Trips like this happen often, so be sure to read your ZipMail and check out the information desk in the Student Union for more information.  You do not want to miss out on a fun day away with all your friends.
