Football get trampled by Bulls

Akron’s losing streak increases to four games, after the Zips performance in Buffalo.
Tuesday, Nov. 11, UA traveled to The University of Buffalo to take on the Bulls in an important match for postseason contention. The Bulls and Zips have both dropped in the MAC East standings due to the teams recent losing streaks. The Zips were defeated in New York by a score of 55-24.
The Zips (4-6, 2-4) lost to the Bulls (4-6, 2-4) offense who racked up a season high 536 yard and an unbelievable average of seven yards per play. Akron’s Kyle Pohl threw for 128 yards and Buffalo’s Joe Licata gained 193 yards and four touchdowns.
UA’s top rusher was Jawon Chisholm with 40 yards. On defense, the Zips recovered a fumble and returned an interception for a touchdown. Leading the Zips in tackles were Justin march and Dylan Evans with seven tackles each.
The next game for UA will be against the Minutemen of the University of Massachusetts. This game will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 18 in InfoCision Stadium at 8 p.m. Right before kickoff, the seniors will be honored for their contributions to the team over their careers at UA.
