“Oasis will most likely not win over many new fans with their latest release Dig Out Your Soul, but those fans who have been around since (What’s The Story) Morning Glory will be happy with what they hear. The band, influenced by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones among others, released this almost psychedelic sounding record just three years after their last release Don’t Believe The Truth.”

Oasis will most likely not win over many new fans with their latest release Dig Out Your Soul, but those fans who have been around since (What’s The Story) Morning Glory will be happy with what they hear.
The band, influenced by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones among others, released this almost psychedelic sounding record just three years after their last release Don’t Believe The Truth.
If Oasis has been trying to replicate the sound of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory, this is the closest they have been since its initial release in 1995.
There isn’t one song on the album that immediately grabs your attention like Wonderwall or Champagne Supernova, but there are plenty of others that are decent songs.
Noel and Liam Gallagher wrote every song on the album except for The Nature of Reality and their songwriting hasn’t diminished at all.
The single released from the album, The Shock Of The Lightning, is catchy and upbeat and sounds like it could be from their first album Definitely Maybe.
(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady is a blues track with pop undertones that will keep your head bobbing and toes tapping throughout the song.
Ain’t Got Nothin’ is a song written by Liam Gallagher with lyrics that reflect his frequent brushes with the law and his relationship with the media.
The song opens with, They got nothin’ on me anymore, they got nothin’ on you, I don’t care what they say anymore, all I want is the truth.
The chorus of Ain’t Got Nothin’ is Out on bail, to unveil, here’s a song, sing along, watch my style, wipe that smile from your face.
Despite numerous lineup changes Oasis has captured what they have been trying to do for over a decade.
The Gallagher brothers, much like the Robinson brothers of The Black Crowes, are musical geniuses who need little other than the competitive nature between them to suceed one another to put out great music album after album.
