Oddmall craft show and Geek Exposition to present free show in Akron
October 28, 2015
Weird is the new normal this fall. Come check out a conglomeration of artsy, geeky, and crafty madness that is none other than Oddmall: Emporium of the Weird. The free event at the John S. Knight Center is on Oct. 31, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., and again on Nov. 1, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The art fair, just one aspect of Oddmall, gathers artists and crafters to share their work to the public for consumption. Celebrate individuality by browsing a marketplace of jewelry, art originals, prints, T-shirts, stuffed animals, clothing, games and toys, holiday ornaments, and more.
Even more vendors will be at the Geek Expo, which is Oddmall’s comic, game, and toy exposition. A large part of Oddmall entails comics, games, toys, model railroads, books, costumes, educational and scientific material, models, and more. The Geek Expo will also feature special guests and a costume contest.
Many vendors and artists will hold demonstrations of their creations. Oddmall will also provide live entertainment from various artists throughout both days of the event.
Oddmall attracts over 10,000 people from Northern Ohio.
Although Oddmall is free, donations of $5 are encouraged to help cover costs and ensure that as many people are able to attend as possible.
The John S. Knight Center is located in downtown Akron next to the Art Museum and across from the public library. For more information about Oddmall, visit oddmall.info
