It may be hard getting back into the swing of a new semester after a long break. To make the first week transition more enjoyable, ZPN hosted a Welcome Back Bash for students on Jan. 21.
Upon entering the Student Union Ballroom, students were given a raffle ticket for a chance to win gift cards from Starbucks, Amazon, Target, Visa, and Giant Eagle.
More than 90 students attended the event and were provided free t-shirts and pizza.
Students enjoyed glow-in-the-dark putt-putt, blacklight volleyball, music, and a glow board that they could decorate.
“I always just love seeing the variety of students that show up and seeing everyone having a great time,” said ZPN Traditional Events Chair Kylee Siefke, who organized the event. “ZPN provides a lot for students and it is great to see students take advantage of what we do for our campus.”
The glow-in-the-dark putt-putt and volleyball were both a crowd favorite.
Junior Megan Kennelly has attended numerous ZPN events and said she thought this welcome back event was a good idea for the start of the new semester.
“I’ve never been to a glow-in-the-dark putt-putt [event] before here, I think it’s really cool,” Kennelly said.
Sarah Donaldson also enjoyed the event, saying “I think it’s really awesome, it’s a great way for students to have some fun and get to know each other.”
ZPN’s next event will be a comedy show with the cast of Girl Code on Jan. 29 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom.
