The Buchtelite predicts the NBA season

“Eastern Conference Atlantic Division: Boston Celtics. Is an explanation really needed? Central Division: Cleveland Cavaliers. The Pistons are past their prime and the Bulls are still too young. The Cavs should win the division with ease. Southeast Division: Washington Wizards.”

Eastern Conference

Atlantic Division: Boston Celtics.

Is an explanation really needed?

Central Division: Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Pistons are past their prime and the Bulls are still too young. The Cavs should win the division with ease.

Southeast Division: Washington Wizards.

The Magic have weak guards. Gilbert Arenas will find a new will to win after the organization gave him a new $111 million contract.

Western Conference

Northwest Divison: Utah Jazz.

It’s the easy pick because a lot of people think the Nuggets are going to falter this season. Their defense wasn’t great before and now that Marcus Camby is gone, it’s even worse. I’d like to see Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony win a ring together, but I just don’t see it happening.

Pacific Division: Los Angeles Lakers.

The Suns simply can’t compete with the Lakers. Kobe is the best in the NBA, hands down. Phoenix will be in the race until the end, but when it comes down to it, they won’t be able to beat L.A.

Southwest Division: New Orleans Hornets.

The Spurs are only getting older despite passing on bringing Big Shot Rob Horry back. Chris Paul is a force to be reckoned with and will be for years.

Conference Finals

West: Lakers over Hornets.

I think the Hornets are one year away from overcoming the Lakers. Kobe and company will still rule the West for one more year.

East: Celtics over Cavaliers.

Honestly, I think the Cavaliers have a legitimate chance to win the Eastern Conference, but, just to make sure karma doesn’t screw me, I’m officially picking the Celtics.

Call me weak, that’s fine. I did it with the Indians last season and look what happened.

Never again.

NBA Finals

Lakers over Celtics:

Kobe will finally prove he can win a ring without Shaq, and the Celtics will be brought back down to earth. It was a decent run for Boston, but it’s time for L.A. to be back on top of the NBA. Let’s hope Jack Nicholson doesn’t have a heart attack when they win it all.
