“Best Dressed Female: KRISTIN: I’m torn between Keri Russell, who looked like a million bucks, and Ruby Dee, who looked amazing in her red dress. Russell was understated yet elegant and classic. Dee was simply stunning, as usual. She reeks of class. An honorable mention should also go to Renee Zellweger, though.”

Best Dressed Female:
KRISTIN: I’m torn between Keri Russell, who looked like a million bucks, and Ruby Dee, who looked amazing in her red dress. Russell was understated yet elegant and classic. Dee was simply stunning, as usual. She reeks of class. An honorable mention should also go to Renee Zellweger, though. She looked dazzling in her silver dress, even if, as Jim Carrey said, she looks like she sucked on a lemon.
RYAN: From Katherine Heigl to Anne Hathaway, the goddesses of the silver screen turned their angelic hues of pastels and golds and turned up the heat with some fiery fashion. But I have to hand it to my long time fantasy woman Heidi Klum. She looked absolutely stunning in a piece by John Galliano. With a dramatic collar that perfectly framed that exquisite smile, she certainly made me forget that she picked the man on her arm over me.
Best Dressed Male:
RYAN: George Clooney wasn’t the only one seeing red last night after his film Michael Clayton got snubbed for pretty much every honor it was up for (Thank God!).
KRISTIN: I have to say, The Rock looked unbelievable. Of course, he looks unbelievable in everything. It wasn’t really the tux, per se. Patrick Dempsey was also amazing, but, again, he always is. No one really stood out as being above the rest, for the men.
Worst Dressed Female:
KRISTIN: Oscar winner Tilda Swinton. What the heck? She was a nominee and the best she could do was that black drape? Really? Honorable mention goes to Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, who wowed some by her fashion sense. I, on the other hand, thought she looked like a mermaid.
RYAN: I do have to give props to my girl Tilda Swinton for taking home the Best Supporting Actress nod… but what the heck was up with the black curtain she had draped off her shoulder?
Worst Dressed Male:
RYAN: Top honors for the worst dressed go to…well – it was a team effort. Daniel Day Lewis (who earned more Oscar Gold for his turn in There Will Be Blood) and his wife Rebecca looked equally ridiculous. With his poop brown lace ups and that nice orange trim that both complement a black tux oh-so-well, he certainly doesn’t deserve recognition for his style. And what was with that woman’s dress?! What was worse: the bright red bows atop her shoulder? The fact that her gown was rapped so tightly underneath the overlay that more than just her saddle-bags were hanging out? Or perhaps that god-awful broach that was eating her chest? Eh. It’s a toss up.
KRISTIN: Seth Rogen. This was tough, because I am a huge fan of Rogen’s. But, I couldn’t overlook the fact he was wearing a suit, shaggy hair and a scruffy face. And he presented. Oof.
Head and shoulders above the rest: I’m torn again, this time between Hilary Swank and Helen Mirren. Swank, who has been setting a standard for well-dressed Red Carpet walkers, looked breathtaking and so classy in her black, flowing number, and the always impeccably dressed Mirren was turning heads in her red dress with the bejeweled sleeves.
What the heck were they thinking: Daniel Day Lewis’ wife left me speechless, and not in a good way. Her dress featured huge – and I mean h-u-g-e – jeweled flowers in the middle of the dress and some red leafy looking catastrophe on her shoulders. It was ridiculous, unbelievable, indescribable. I’ve seen better bridesmaids’ dresses at Goodwill. Honorable mention to Nicole Kidman, who was wearing some jewelry nightmare that looked like a chandelier. It was off-center and did nothing to detract from her overall stiff, porcelain doll look.
