“Trading Ilguaskas for Antwan Jamison in the hopes he will return to the Cavs may be a good strategy, but one can’t help but wonder if that’s what is really going to happen. Ilguaskas is, after all, a good player. Not only that, but there’s probably a good chance his basketball days are numbered.”

Trading Ilguaskas for Antwan Jamison in the hopes he will return to the Cavs may be a good strategy, but one can’t help but wonder if that’s what is really going to happen.
Ilguaskas is, after all, a good player.
Not only that, but there’s probably a good chance his basketball days are numbered. And if you’re on the verge of retirement, there’s really no better incentive than to grab the highest paying contract offered.
That’s not to say Cleveland won’t offer him everything he’s worth, but you can’t possibly feel that valued if your team’s willing to sell you out for another player.
That’s basically saying, hey, don’t worry, we want you back. But only after we get the better player.
So your team just dumped you for a younger player who gets more hype from the media. They have every intention of getting you back.
Congratulations Z, you truly are the rebound guy!
