The vice president for finance and administration/CFO provides strategic direction and leadership including budgeting and planning, financial reporting, auditing and risk management.

I am grateful that we have assembled such a diverse and experienced search committee to help us identify our next chief financial officer, Proenza said.

Our next CFO will play an integral role in developing a strategy to help us secure the resources necessary to fulfill our mission and the new elements in our emerging strategic plan.

The search follows the resignation of former VP John Case.

Case was placed on administrative leave following his arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

He was demoted to senior business officer with his full salary and officially left the university Feb. 28.

Since Case’s demotion Scott Borgemenke served as the university’s acting vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer.
