Despite what some people like the AK-Rowdies might tell you, there are more important things than a college basketball loss to a rival team.

In this month alone, there have been earthquakes in Haiti, Turkey and Chile.

Hundreds of lives have been lost and communities are still recovering from the tragedies.

Relief efforts are being sent out around the globe.

So, while beating Kent State would always be a good day, it’s not the end of the world that we didn’t. Just think: you could be buried under 30 feet of rubble slowly dying from oxygen depravation.

So get a glass of water and just be happy you’re hydrated.
