If you’ve been to a shopping center anytime in the past month, you’ve probably noticed that it’s difficult to avoid something these days: Christmas.

Yes, Christmas. The malls seemed to have topped their holiday decoration and music selections – already.

Wasn’t there an unsaid yet generally enforced rule to avoid Christmas music before Thanksgiving?

It seems as though holiday sales arrive sooner and sooner each year. We’re all for the holidays and all, but at this rate our Christmas trees will be dead before December. Thanksgiving has yet to arrive.

But admit it: we love the overly loud Christmas music and the misleading sales. And at the same time, we’re students. Many of us are working students with less than enough time to even consider a healthy amount of sleep.

What better way to have the chance to enjoy the holiday season than to extend the time period?
