Twilight is supposedly an action-packed love story of a girl who falls in love with a vampire. When it comes out to theaters nationwide this Friday, you should expect crowded movie theaters.

After reading about the general plot and with no prior knowledge of the bookß, we can’t help but be skeptical. A love story about a vampire? How long have vampires been so lovable?

Reviewers were asked to hold their critiques until after the movie is released, but the online reviews that were leaked mostly had negative things to say about the anticipated movie.

Associated Press said that much of what made the relationship between Edward and the smitten Bella Swan work in Meyer’s breezy book has been stripped away on screen. The Chicago Tribune also gave its input: Where does the movie fall down? On a simple but crucial matter of visual magic. Whenever something fantastic requires straightforward on-screen depiction, Twilight looks like a weaker episode from Season 6 of Charmed.

Skepticism aside, since the critics seemed to have everything harsh to say, Twilight will live up to the expectations. How often are movie critics accurate anyway?
