Thanksgiving has come and gone, and you know what that means, time to dig out your Christmas CD’s and jam out to your favorite holiday tunes. If you’re bored of the same old classic songs, here’s a list of my top 10 holiday pop jams from the ’90s and now.

1. Mariah Carey- All I Want for Christmas Is You is the ultimate pop rock Christmas song. Released in 1994 on Mariah Carey’s Christmas album, this song is the best-selling holiday ring tone of all time since 2006.

2. Britney Spears- My Only Wish (This Year) Back when Britney was a little more innocent in 2000, this song was released as her first Christmas single. It is guaranteed to get you in the Christmas sprit with its upbeat melody and relatable lyrics.

3. Destiny’s Child-8 Days of Christmas This fun R&B single was released in 2001 on Destiny’s Child’s only Christmas CD. It’s a more modern, hip hop version of the more traditional 12 days of Christmas carol that will spice up your Christmas.
4. Jessica Simpson-Baby its Cold out
side (Ft. Nick Lachey) This song appeared on Jessica Simpson’s Christmas album that was released in 2004. The lyrics and music were originally written and performed by Frank Loesser in 1944, but the song has been redone by various artists over the years. It is a cute Christmas duet sung by Simpson and her then husband, Nick Lachey.

5.N*Sync-Merry Christmas Happy Holidays The N*sync Christmas CD is a must-have for everyone’s holiday CD collection. Even though it was released back in 1998 its catchy melodies never get old, and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays is the star of the album.

6. Christina Aguilera-This Christmas Released in 2000, Christina Aguilera’s strong vocal talent makes her Christmas album perfect edition to anyone’s holiday CD collection. This song has an R&B feel to it and shows off Aguilera’s wide range of vocals.

7. N*Sync- I Never Knew the Meaning of Christmas This song is another great track on the *Sync Home for the Holidays album. It’s a shower song and its romantic lyrics will warm any heart.

8. 98 Degrees- This Gift Released in 1999 this harmonious pop Christmas album features the quartet singing their versions of many popular traditional holiday tunes, combined a few of their own original tracks to make the perfect holiday CD to listen to with family.

9. Jessica Simpson- Little Drummer Boy (Ft. Ashlee Simpson) This is a great version of the classic Little Drummer Boy performed by Jessica and Ashlee Simpson. They sound beautiful together and this is one of the best songs on the album. It’s a slower pace melody and definitely one of my absolute favorite Christmas tunes.

10. Taylor Swift- Last Christmas For all the country music fans, Taylor Swift’s Holiday Collection-EP was released on iTunes in 2007. Last Christmas was originally released by British pop music group Wham! in 1984, but has since been covered by many other artists. It is a classic, fun Christmas
