Cadet John Flegal, a sophomore political science student, made the initial contact with the Indians organization.

At first it was kind of hard to get in touch with them, Flegal said. As soon as I was able to get a hold of them the ball started rolling really fast.

Cadet Riendeau told me that he was really nervous, Flegal said. He’s never done anything as big as the Indians.

That was not the case for all the cadets.

I wasn’t that nervous because I just did the Cavs-Boston game the week before, Cadet Michael Thompson said.

It’s still pretty nerve wracking, you have 20,000 eyes on you.

Flegal stated that the men were generally excited with the whole experience.

Afterward, the men had tickets provided to them to watch the Indians take on the Minnesota Twins.

Other members included Michael Riendeau, Brad Brinckay, Vince Teringi, Josh Fabijince and Ian Gallitin.
