The Zips Programming Network will hold the End of the Semester Celebration on Thursday April 30.
The event will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. outside of Sisler-McFawn Residence Hall.
If it rains, the event will be moved onto the blue courts inside of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.
Alyssa Lajeunesse, Traditional Events Chair for ZPN says, We will have four different inflatable rides, such as a giant slide, adrenaline rush obstacle course, and a jousting ride.
Pizza, chips, pop and sandwiches donated from Subway will be free of charge to students when a Zip Card is presented.
The Roo Rocker, the truck that plays music, will hopefully be at the event, although they have not given commitment.
This is an event for students to take a break and get ready for finals in a fun and exciting way, Lajeunesse said.
At the end of every semester, ZPN holds an event similar to this. This time around, the event is much bigger and will be outside.
It is a twist on what we are used to doing, Lajeunesse said.
ZPN gets their funding for this event from a group that supports student organizations.
We will be auctioning off an iPod Touch as well as Cedar Point tickets, Lajuenesse said.
Although the event will be going on all day, more students usually attend the start of the event and also between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
I will be going to the event on my break between class to see what it is all about, Melissa Pacanovsky said.
I am looking forward to the free food and good music.
