It's time to bring out your fleece jackets

“It’s fall, which means everyone’s busting out their fleece jackets and boots with the fur. With the changing of the leaves, comes the changing of fashion. So even if you want to continue wearing your jean mini skirts with your Ugg boots, please try to refrain.”

It’s fall, which means everyone’s busting out their fleece jackets and boots with the fur. With the changing of the leaves, comes the changing of fashion. So even if you want to continue wearing your jean mini skirts with your Ugg boots, please try to refrain.

But if you’re like me, and just adore wearing dresses, skip the jean skirt and throw on a warm-toned sweater dress and some leggings. It’s an instant classic.

Berry colors, high-vamped shoes, lace and Victorian/romantic styled blouses are the things that are hot this season. Designers such as Prada, Marc Jacobs and Oscar De La Renta have featured all of these in their fall collections. From fall handbags to red carpet dresses, these combinations seem to be hitting the shelves in masses.

Of course, the usual fall browns, crèmes and oranges still look great, but throw on a purple lace dress and black lace-up bootie heels, and you’ll be sure to stand out.

But, if you’re in a rut and are just dying to buy a new handbag for this season a great Web site, that I rediscovered thanks to the Sex & the City movie, is BagBorrowOrSteal.com. Not only does this nifty Web site let you rent real designer bags for reasonable prices, but it also let’s you rent designer jewelry and sunglasses. I don’t know about you, but the idea of renting designer accessories and pretending like I’m a Manhattan Upper East sider for a week or two sounds like all the glam without the price tag.

Perfect.

And guys, don’t worry, I didn’t forget about you.

I’m sure you’re sad to hear me tell you, you must retire all of those so-called-fashion Ed Hardy and Affliction tee’s that are all over campus, but it’s time to bring out the stripped, long-sleeved button-ups and dark denim.

However, if you’re one of those guys that must have a t-shirt on at all times, throwing on a fleece North Face jacket can allow you to keep up with your habit and stay warm at the same time.

So enjoy the mild cold weather while we have it, because, before you know it, you’ll be walking around in layers of long john tee’s and hoodies and buying cup after cup of coffee to stay warm.
