Disney purchase of Marvel might not be so bad

“Saturday mornings were always the best for kids growing up watching the X-men, Spiderman, the-Hulk, Iron-Man, etc. Disney bought out Marvel Aug. 31, and this has made a lot of people angry. Some of Marvel’s most famous characters are Spiderman, Venom, Carnage, Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Gambit, Jean Grey, the Black Panther, Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America, Silver Surfer, Deadpool and Thor.”

It’s easy get on the hate Marvel bandwagon now that it is with Disney. There are both negatives and positives to Disney buying out Marvel Comics.

If somebody told a random person 50 years ago that Walt Disney was going to buy out comic books that were not related to Mickey Mouse and his group of friends, the response would have been laughter.

The downside of the purchase is that many people believe the story lines will suffer because Disney likes to keep everything so clean-cut.

Wolverine and Iron Man will be clean cut. The Peter Parker/Spider Man character will probably revolve more around his science genius character and less around his super-hero persona.

The Fantastic Four will revolve more around science and less around action.

Most likely, good guys and bad guys will become friends in the new Disney version. For instance, Spiderman and Venom will not hate each other any more.

Disney will probably add more story lines to the comics and less action, which is not what kids want.

The positive thing about Disney buying Marvel is that the movies will actually be entertaining. If Disney chooses to make a second Wolverine movie, it can cast the characters to fit the characters a whole lot better.

The Hulk movies will actually bring in ratings with better story lines written. The Fantastic Four movies will actually have a plot.

Iron Man is about the only movie that was successful out of all the Marvel movies.

Wolverine X-men Origins had the ratings but the casting was horrible in it. Gambit (played by Remy LeBeau), Victor Creed/Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber) were horrible castings for the movie and they did not fit their characters at all.

Hugh Jackman made a great Wolverine, but that does not make up for the other two big mistakes in the movie. Disney will be able to bring in a better cast.

Disney is a multi-million dollar company and will put Marvel back on the map. Graphics in the cartoons will be a whole lot better.

People will be happy if there is no crossover between the Jonas Brothers and X-men or a Hannah Montana and Spiderman duo. If Disney lets Marvel still be Marvel, then this deal will have no problems.
