Writers on strike, we don't miss them

“Desperate Housewives stopped production Wednesday. Not because it’s jumped the shark, mind you, but because writers are striking. The strike began Monday because an agreement couldn’t be made on how much the writers should be compensated when their shows are on the Internet.”

I’m pro-union and all that, but scabs might do a better job. There, I said it.

Interestingly, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, of The New Adventures of the Old Christine, joined forces with picketing writers. It’s much easier to stand on principle when you’re still getting royalties from the most successful TV show of all time.

Which leads us to Jerry. Oh, Jerry.

Bee Movie only made $39 million. Apparently, it wasn’t the resounding success he thought – or hoped – it would be.

Now, I’m just spitballing here, but perhaps Jerry did too much. Even I was feeling the effects of Jerry overload.

The HP commercial? Really?

However, Jerry was great on Larry King. Sure, some think that Jerry was acting a little childish or being a jerk.

I disagree.

Why would Larry King suggest that Seinfeld was canceled? To get Jerry riled?

What cave was Larry living in during the ’90s?

Now, on to your weekly skank update.

Britney has taken lemons and made lemonade.

By that, I mean she is taking her court-appointed monitor who is watching everything she does with her children and making her a babysitter.

You heard right.

Britney was photographed shopping for a chandelier (because it simply couldn’t wait, y’all!) while the monitor entertained the two kids in the car.
