This is a recipe modeled from allrecipies.com that is sure to delight any peanut butter lover. For students wishing to escape from schoolwork or make a treat for that special someone, this dessert is sure to be a hit.
Ingredients:
1 cup creamy peanut butter (any brand will do)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed (Cool Whip works well)
1 prepared graham cracker pie crust (You can opt for a chocolate crust also)
1 (11.75 ounce) jar Smucker’s® hot fudge microwaveable ice cream topping (optional)
1 jar of Reese’s peanut butter topping (optional)
1 bag of Hershey’s chocolate chips (optional)
Directions:
Step one: Beat together peanut butter, cream cheese and sugar in a medium-sized bowl until well combined.
Step two: Gently mix in three cups of whipped topping until it’s thoroughly combined.
Step three: This is optional. However, if you would like additional richness, spread chocolate fudge and Reese’s peanut butter topping to the bottom of the pie shell prior to pouring the pie mixture in.
Step four: Spoon the mixture into the pie shell. Using a spatula, smooth the mixture to the edges of the pie.
Step five: (optional step) Drizzle Reese’s peanut butter topping to the top of the pie and create a border of Hershey’s chocolate chips along the edge of
the pie.
Step six: Place whole pie in the freezer for at least two hours prior to serving. Refrigerate after serving.
