The gun belonged to a roommate who lived there.
The University of Akron police report said the roommates discovered a .44 Magnum revolver and ammunition in another roommate’s storage bin. Officers confiscated the firearm.
According to the report, the female who owned the weapon has been removed form housing temporarily and the locks to the residency have been changed.
The other roommates in the residence declined to comment.
