Arthur and Nedd are the sixth and seventh University of Akron players selected in the CFL draft and the third and fourth players in the last three years. Cam Yeow was drafted with the second overall pick in 2005 and Jermaine Reid was selected with the ninth overall pick by Hamilton.

Arthur, who is entering his senior season, is planning on playing with the Zips next season, according to UA spokesman Mike Cawood. The return of Akron’s other lead receiver, David Harvey, is doubtful.

Arthur led the Zips in receptions last season with 45.
