Outsiders' Challenge

“It’s hard to say that this punt, pass and kick victory feels as good as last week’s bowling win, but it still has a pretty good vibe. It’s hard to say that this punt, pass and kick victory feels as good as last week’s bowling win, but it still has a pretty good vibe.

There was a whisper around the office that my arm strength would be sub-par to Mr. Fleming’s pythons, but it took one throw to silence the critics that tried to take me off my game before the contest even started.

I launched the first ball 49 yards and the crowd that engulfed the Shrank North practice field looked upon the tight-spiraled eagle-in-flight with awe.

My throws accumulated 157 yards, with the best throw cutting through a clear blue sky; an undetectable stealth missile shot from my laser-rocket arm that landed 55 yards away.

My first punt would precisely drop at the 5-yard line, but neither Fleming nor I could make a field goal.

Not being able to make a field goal was troubling because it meant there was a slight flaw in my impeccable football skills.

However, when an overtime kick-off ensued after Fleming and I missed our three field goals, we both made our fourth OT kick.

But after Fleming missed his fifth, I showed the crowd of 2,000 strong what a true clutch Adam Viniatari-esque kicker looks like.

Me 2. Fleming 1.

Game over.
