Tim Lew (225, +9) and Harry Whittle (238, +22) rounded out the three days for the Zips.

Two in-state programs finished behind UA, as Miami’s 884 was good for ninth place and Cleveland State’s 898 put the Vikings in the 13th slot.

Akron finished day one at Rio Pinar Country Club in a tie for fourth, and day two concluded in a tie for fifth.

The Zips will not play again until April 10 when they take the trip to Memphis, Tenn., for the Memphis Intercollegiate.
