I’m glad to know in the wake of the Virginia Tech massacre UA has already been on top of its student’s safety. After a national news program showed how easy it was to get into locked dorms, I feel safe with UA’s safety measures.

First, it takes a student with a Zip Card to swipe at three separate doors before reaching the actual key-locked rooms. Second, the cardholder must get past a community assistant who makes sure the person entering the building should be there in the first place. Above all this, there are cameras in the entranceways and community areas to monitor activity.
