There’s really nothing wrong with texting in a vehicle, there should only be one catch: you shouldn’t be the driver!
If you’re behind the wheel and your hands are doing anything but steering, consider yourself a hazard to society.
You don’t read books or write your English papers while driving, so there’s no reason to be texting either.
It’s virtually the same thing!
People may be saying to themselves but I’m bored, or I don’t want to be rude.
Apparently you’d prefer to be dead.
Think about it. There’s a reason the law bans drunk driving.
Those labels that say warning: may cause drowsiness, on your medicine bottles have a purpose too.
They exist to keep you and others safe!
Sure, it’s not illegal to drink, or take prescribed medication and it’s perfectly legal to text.
When you combine them with driving, however, you are creating something completely new and dangerous.
Your eyes can’t be on a text and on the road at the same time and therefore, texting is a distraction.
Good thing it’s now illegal.
Anything that keeps a driver from focusing on the road is guaranteed to cause problems and if that’s the case then it shouldn’t be allowed.
If you’re bored, turn on the radio or plug in your iPod.
Before you get in the car, tell the person you’re texting you will get back to them when you get to your destination.
If you get caught doing it, don’t complain about the fine either.
Be happy it’s just a fine and not something much worse.
You can’t text from beyond the grave.
