This specially-built mooring truck is one of the several support vehicles that follows the Goodyear blimp wherever it goes. The large mast hooks to the nose of the airship and keeps it grounded when not in flight. The airship can also be moved on the ground by this truck.

Goodyear pilot Jerry Hissem maintains a steady approach as Wingfoot Three prepares to land at the airship base.

Wingfoot Three leaves the hangar moments before the milestone of its maiden flight is completed.

Wingfoot Three flies directly over Akron’s Ellet neighborhood.

Wingfoot Three flies over the Akron Airdock at Akron Executive Airport. The massive facility was once home to the Goodyear-Zeppelin Corporation, where many airships were built for the U.S. Navy during the 1930s.
